Rules to participate in 2024

Article 1: ORGANIZATION

Belonging.txt brings together artists and activists who can tell their stories through art. Utilizing the format of an annual calendar, the initiative seeks to accentuate forgotten issues, neglected perspectives and unheard stories on a certain matter. The next belonging.txt 2024 calendar envisions to dedicate all the pages in the calendar to young artists from all over the world, to raise awareness on what constitutes peace for them, in their respective environments and contexts to where they belong. The goal is to assemble 12 art pieces and create a calendar, with which we seek to raise funds for the regional youth project "What is peace to YOUth?", under the terms and conditions defined below.

Article 2: COLLABORATION

The idea to consult the youth emerged from a regional art and peace project, initiated by eight young champions of trust builders based in the Kosovo, Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia. Their project “What is peace to YOUth?” aims to address multidimensional meaning of peace in the Western Balkans, by calling on young artists to contribute to a self-organized exhibition in Pristina, Kosovo in September 2023.

Impressed by these endeavors, belonging.txt seeks to expand their initiative and calls for international young artists to share with us their definition or vision of peace. All revenues of this project will be donated to the founders of the “What is peace to YOUth?” initiative, with the aim to facilitate the next exhibition, also featuring the contributions of our next calendar!
